Frequently Asked Questions

Who will be supervising my project?

All supervision will be handled by the Owners of Ozone Pools & Outdoor Living.

How long will it take to build my concrete pool?

Depending on the size and details of your project (waterfalls, outdoor areas), the typical build time for an in-ground concrete pool is 6-8 weeks (weather permitting).

Do I have to be present  for each phase of construction?

It is not necessary for you to be present for all phases of construction.  If at all possible, it is always nice to view the excavation, shotcrete & plaster phases.

When are payments due?

There are four payments due throughout the construction process: The 1st payment is due after excavation, the 2nd payment is due after shotcrete, the 3rd payment is due after plumbing, and the 4th payment is due prior to plastering your pool.

What happens if the excavator hits rock?

The excavator will stop, evaluate the conditions, and determine what it will take to complete the dig. No additional charges will be incurred until you OK the excavation.

Why is the concrete shell so rough?

The rough surface will allow the plaster to adhere to the shell.

Should I water the concrete shell?

Yes.  Watering the shell of the pool will help slow down the curing process. This should be completed 2-3 times per day for 5-7 days.

Do I need door alarms?

Door alarms are not required in every County. This will be addressed during your free consultation.

Who will teach me about the equipment?

We will have a pool expert schedule an appointment with you as part of our indoctrination (Pool School).
